Tell us about what you do?

Do lots of things, involved in lots of things. Spend as much time outdoors as possible skiing, biking, walking, climbing. Main job is CEO of Cairngorms Business Partnership a chamber of Commerce and Destination organisation. Also involved in some charitable organisations I am passionate about inspiring and giving opportunities to young people particularly using the outdoors for that.

How has the pandemic affected you?

Crazy busy at work. On a very personal and selfish level lockdown 1 was great in many ways. I was so lucky to have my whole family home with glorious weather and paradise on our doorstep. I would swap all of that though for the opportunity to visit and hug my elderly parents in Liverpool.

Do you have a link to Scotland?

I have always loved Scotland, I have been coming for the outdoors from the age of 20 and 10 years ago decided to ‘chuck it all in’ and make it home.

Favourite thing about your job/business?

I love thinking that we can inspire people to come and share amazing experiences in the Cairngorms National Park.

What is the biggest challenge you have faced?

Too many to mention, I love a challenge. Starting a Corporate Bank in Kazakhstan was interesting and incredibly rewarding.

Who inspires you?

My kids

If you could swap places with one person (dead or alive) for a day who would it be?

My wife, she is always saying I get the best end of the deal but I don’t think that’s true 🙂
